Alessandra Ciolfi is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been working with adult individuals struggling with the impacts of trauma, developmental/attachment wounds and structural dissociation for over 20 years. She is also a certified EMDR practitioner, a cognitive behavioral psychotherapist and a certified Sensorimotor psychotherapist.
Alessandra teaches techniques for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder at A.P.C (Associazione di Psicologia Cognitiva) e S.P.C (Scuola Psicoterapia Cognitiva) in Italy (teaching in Naples, Rome, Ancona, Milano, Grosseto, Lecce and Palermo). She is specialized in Sensorimotor psychotherapy activities for vasovagal syncope, bradycardia and cardiac arrhythmias treatments through osteopathy, cardiology, psychotherapy holistic approach.
She worked for UNHCR treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders in Political Refugees.
Her experience included the process of working with sex offenders by sensory motor approach in prisons context.
As project manager and clinical supervisor for Local Mental Health Unit she focused on inclusive, culturally attuned and resonant approaches to mental health.
Alessandra offers individual and group consultation both in person and online, she has been a psycotherapist in private practice for over 10 years.
Her experience in theatre therapy refined her approach to healing within different struggling contexts, she has been practising pilates for years driving her to use its principles also in her treatments.
